Taking place from January 27-31, 2025, the first WP3 Winter School Teaching from/for/towards an EUPeace Perspective is open to student teachers and teacher educators from the nine EUPeace member universities. It will be a place for learning new concepts, for exchanging knowledge, for socialising among students and lecturers, and for building a sustainable international community of practice.

The Winter School is one central measure to equip (future) teachers with the skills and knowledge to promote the School for All. In times of growing diversity in classrooms worldwide, interculturality, inclusion, and multilingualism belong to the most pressing pedagogical issues in teacher education. Therefore, the Winter School Teaching from/for/towards an EUPeace Perspective brings together pre- and in-service teachers as well as teacher educators (1) to discuss methods and approaches that can be used to implement a School for All, (2) to reflect on the use of inclusive and diversity-sensitive teaching methodology in different educational contexts. In accordance with EUPeace‘s core values, the overall goal of this approach is to develop an educational paradigm where every student, regardless of background or ability, can thrive. Accompanying the Winter School, students will work on a portfolio to reflect on their learnings individually or in groups.

The programme comprises one guest lecture and eight workshops dealing with topics related to EUPeace’s core topics Peace, Justice, and Inclusive Societies. On the evening of January 28, a fireside chat raises several questions regarding benefits, challenges, and the significant contribution of EUPeace to the internationalisation of teacher education. On the afternoon of January 29, we will discover the beautiful university town of Marburg together.
