26.06.2024 Congratulations to Alfonso Senatore, the newly elected speaker of the Research Hub Climate Science and Just Transition!

The Research Hub Climate Science and Just Transition elected Alfonso Senatore as its speaker in May, 2024. 

Alfonso Senatore is an Associate Professor of Hydrology and Hydraulic and Maritime Constructions (with qualification as full professor) at the Department of Environmental Engineering, University of Calabria (Italy). He obtained his PhD in Environmental Hydraulic Engineering in 2006. Since then, he has carried out his research mainly in the field of hydrology, including hydrometeorology, ecohydrology, water resources management, the impact of climate change on the water cycle, HPC for hydrological modelling and remote sensing in hydrology. His research achievements result from numerous national and international projects and collaborations (e.g. with KIT, NCAR, ECMWF) and are documented by more than 60 publications in international scientific journals.

The Research Hub Climate Science and Just Transition strengthens research in the interdisciplinary fields of climate science and environmental justice. Thank you, Alfonso Senatore, for your support in advancing this important research area!
