EUPeace is launching its 2025 Call for Student Challenges: apply to turn ideas into real change!

The focus of the 2025 Call is the social and solidarity economy. The deadline to submit your proposal is 9 April 2025

1. What are the "Student Challenges"?

The Student Challenges call empowers students to take meaningful action on key social issues within their university community. Through this initiative, students can:

  • Identify challenges related to peace, justice, or inclusion on campus
  • Mobilise their peers to brainstorm and co-create innovative solutions
  • Develop a concrete action plan and implement it
  • Share their impact with the wider community.

This call is a core initiative of the EUPeace Alliance, designed to engage students by collaborating with local organisations, student associations, and clubs. By providing additional resources, the initiative encourages the development of projects that embody the values of peace, justice, and inclusivity. We invite you to refer to the rules of the call for more details.

Whether you are part of a student club or an association, this is your chance to transform ideas into real change!

2. Who Can Participate?

Participation is open to all students’ association and clubs’ members within the EUPeace Alliance.

3. How to Apply and Secure Funding?

This year's theme focuses on the social and solidarity economy. To be eligible for funding, your project must align with this topic. Financial support can go up to €1,000, but the final amount will be determined based on the project’s needs and the commission’s evaluation.

Applications must be submitted by 9 April 2025. To apply, fill out the application form, refer to the budget template, and send both documents to your local coordinator. Contact details can be found below:

4. Which Projects Are Not Eligible?

To ensure that funding supports innovation and community impact, the following projects are not eligible:

  • Projects relating to the general operation and renovation of association premises
  • Projects aimed at remunerating students
  • Commercial or for-profit projects
  • Projects that are already completed or in progress at the time of application
