09.10.2024 EUPeace welcomes Prof. Dr. Hamit Emrah Beriş as new Rector of Çukurova University

Prof. Dr. Hamit Emrah Beriş was appointed as the Rector of Çukurova University on August 16, 2024, with the approval of the President of Turkey. Prof. Beriş holds a PhD degree from Ankara University, Department of Political Science. He has also held several administrative roles, including the Chairmanship of the Supervisory Board at the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

Rector Beriş is actively working towards strengthening the Çukurova University’s position both regionally and internationally. He closely follows the EUPeace project and supports the university's active role in this initiative, which is seen as an important step toward making Çukurova University a European University.
