06.03.2025 EUPeace Winter School: Virtual follow-up meeting on 3 March

Re-connecting and reflecting was the motto of the virtual follow-up to the EUPeace Winter School “Teaching from/for/towards an EUPeace Perspective” that took place on 3 March 2025. It was organised by the team working towards the Internationalisation of Teacher Education, work package 3 of our EU-funded project. Students and lecturers looked back on an eventful week at the end of January at the castle in Rauischholzhausen, Germany.

In three breakout sessions, students worked in mixed groups on questions that were also part of their Winter School portfolios, for example the overall inclusivity of their national education systems, or the added value the internationalisation of teacher education has in promoting Peace, Justice, and Inclusive Societies.

Students identified the explicit need for more international exchange among (future) teachers and teacher educators, the need for more multi-professional collaboration in schools, and the importance of developing policies with a specific focus on educational values like inclusion and peace. This will help teachers to really practice what they preach!

The next EUPeace Post-Summer School will be hosted online by the University of Sarajevo in autumn 2025.
