25.03.2024 European-Ukrainian cooperation in higher education in the focus

On 13 March 2024 several European University Alliances and Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions (HEI) came together to discuss the state of play and future perspectives for a closer cooperation between European and Ukrainian universities. The meeting took place at the University of Strasbourg, France, and was organised by the EPICUR university alliance under the patronage of Ewa Kopacz (MEP). EUPeace was represented there by Dr. Michael Groll of Marburg University.
EUPeace is closely cooperating with two Ukrainian HEIs, the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman (KNEU) and the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (NaUKMA), both Associated Partners, and will intensify this cooperation in the future, as Ukraine is at the forefront of the EUPeace values of peace, justice and inclusive societies.
Following the event the organisers published a comprehensive report, including best practices of cooperation between Ukrainian higher education institutions and alliances, as well as a join Statement on Strategic Partnerships between European and Ukrainian Universities, which EUPeace supports.
