13.12.2024 EUPeace Student Council Elects New Executive Team

On 1 and 2 November 2024, the Student Council of the EUPeace Alliance held a face-to-face meeting at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen.

During the first morning of the event, the former executive team, led by former president Clément DESAPHY, was able to take stock of its activities during its busy 4-month mandate. The new executive team was also elected. The new executive team consists of : Sibel Alara TASA (President), Clement DESAPHY (Vice-president), Rijad CRVENJAK (Secretary), Adriana PACIOS-RAMIREZ (Head of communication), Alessandro LONZANE (Commissioner for association and student life), Simon BUCHNER (Commissioner for student democracy), Matej LIBAL (Commissioner for international mobility), David WINTER (Commissioner for promoting equality, inclusiveness and diversity), Leon HEBEISEN (Commissioner for academic training, innovation and partnership development), Selina BERUS (Project Manager) and Lejla BURGIC (Project Manager). 

The Student Council assembly would like to thank the previous team for their hard work.

During this time, the Student Council has been able to concentrate and work together on a strategy to develop, promote and gain recognition for student involvement, but also on a strategy to develop and publicise the EUPeace Student Association (EUPSA) and finally to start thinking about and building events that could lead to alliance-wide events for students.

Members of the Student Council worked together to create a list of objectives to be achieved before the EUPeace Strategy Forum in Adana in April 2025. These include the structuring of student involvement, the organisation of events involving a maximum number of players from different universities, and the establishment and growth of EUPSA. The members of the Student Council are ready to work hard to achieve concrete progress.
