Traveling back after successful meetings: Members of the EUPeace Steering Committee

The University of Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina) hosted the EUPeace Alliance board meetings of Steering Committee and Equality, Diversity, Inclusion Board on June 17 and 18, 2024. Representatives from the member institutions of the EUPeace Alliance participated in these meetings, where they planned the guidelines for the further development of the European University for Peace, Justice, and Inclusive Societies and developed a strategy for long-term cooperation.

During the two-day event, the Steering Committee members discussed key elements of the EUPeace Alliance. Special attention was given to funding, reviewing previous activities within the work packages, establishing research hubs, and considering numerous logistical and organizational issues. These discussions provided the foundation for sustainable and successful progress within the Alliance.

The members of the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Board played an important role in the discussions, focusing on past and future activities and the overview of the situation in the different universities. The discussions covered necessary documents, strategies, structures, and policies, providing an opportunity for in-depth analysis and strategy alignment.

With the meeting in Mostar, EUPeace continues its activities in promoting peace, justice, and inclusivity through cooperation of European universities. This initiative shapes the future of European higher education, creating a platform for innovation, knowledge exchange, and progress. Through joint efforts, the EUPeace Alliance strives to build a better and fairer society, paving the way for future generations.
