13.01.2025 Vincent Jolivet elected new President of the University of Limoges
In an extraordinary meeting of the Board of Governors on Monday, 6 January, Vincent Jolivet was elected new President of University Limoges for a four-year term. Jolivet, who is a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science, was elected by a majority of votes. He has succeeded over Isabelle Klock-Fontanille.
Vincent Jolivet is a member of the Realistic Image Synthesis (SIR) research team in the Image Synthesis and Analysis (ASALI) division of the XLIM laboratory. Until December 2024, he also was Director of IAE, the University School of Management, where he has held senior positions since 2007.
The election of the Vice-Chairman of the Board also took place on Monday 6 January, and was won by Céline Meslier, Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Law and Economics.
The statutory and student vice-presidents will be determined at a later stage, in elections to be held at the meeting of the Academic Board on Monday 27 January.
