Strong Student Organizations

An EUPeace Student Association is in the process of being founded as another Flagship Initiative with the aim to start joint grassroots initiatives. The Student Association will meet regularly (in presence and virtually) to discuss and implement key EUPeace initiatives led by the student community, which fill the EUPeace inter-university campus with life. The aim is to start with joint grassroots initiatives at each partner university, and to later extend these to the level of the EUPeace Inclusive European Campus.

The Association will interact closely with the Student Council (STC) and make suggestions for the entire Alliance. The STC is composed of elected student representatives (2 per member)and assures that student priorities are represented, heard, and taken into account at all sites. The Association is explicitly invited to express students’ needs in all areas of Alliance work and study conditions.

The EUPeace Student Association will also become part of the “European Universities Community”. The European Universities Community (EUC) is a grassroots initiative gathering student and PhD students from European University Alliances. The objectives are among others to voice the opinion of students and to foster their participation in the European University Alliances.
