EUPeace Living Peace Lab
A Living Lab is an innovation open ecosystem in which universities, civil society, the private sector, government, and citizens interact to co-create and test solutions that have a positive and sustainable impact within the work ambit of the laboratory, in our case: peace, justice, and inclusive societies.
The EUPeace Living Peace Lab acts as a meeting point and facilitator of those initiatives put forward by its stakeholders; with an emphasis in its practical utility and social value. In that sense, the Living Peace Lab involves its users not as “testers”, but as active agents that, throughout the analysis, development, and implementation process, contribute to produce value and bring forward and shape ideas.
In sum, the Living Peace Lab is a form of creative learning for all participants. They benefit from the ecosystem in diverse ways and together offer innovative solutions to common problems and challenges.
The EUPeace Living Peace Lab aims to offer the human capital and physical resources of the EUPeace universities to serve those initiatives. The focus areas of the Living Peace Lab are peace, justice, and inclusive societies, understood in a broad and transversal manner, welcoming the collaboration across a diverse array of subjects and initiatives. Its commitment would extend to fostering cooperation in any field or endeavor that contributes to positive social impact. Whether it is addressing environmental sustainability, technological advancement, cultural enrichment, or beyond, the Living Peace Lab is a platform for inclusive exploration and collective action. It will encourage individuals and groups from all backgrounds and disciplines to bring forth their ideas and projects.
Societal Dialogue Group
The Societal Dialogue Group is a structured forum comprised of representatives from both within and outside the EUPeace Alliance, aimed at fostering dialogue and collaboration on key societal issues. Its primary function is to develop Dialogue Bridge Formats, which serve to facilitate ongoing and active dialogue among diverse stakeholders. These formats are designed to create the necessary environment to develop the EUPeace Living Peace Lab.
Initially, the EUPeace Societal Dialogue Group consists of at least two members from each EUPeace site (i.e. public relations officer, senior researcher in political studies, equal opportunity officer etc.), which will be the representatives from the local Societal Dialogue Groups. In this sense, local Societal Dialogue Groups will be acting as the advisory boards for each local Living Lab and then some members from the local advisory boards will be joining the pan-EUPeace Societal Dialogue Group.
