Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP)
What?
BIPs (Blended Intensive Programmes) are short-term joint training programmes organized between three partner higher education institutions. These programmes are dedicated to a group of participants from those three institutions (students of all study cycles and/or staff) and combine in-person mobility and virtual activities. If you participate in a BIP, you can earn a minimum of 3 ECTS. BIPs are by nature intensive programmes using innovative learning and teaching methods as well as online collaboration.
In a BIP, a short-term mobility of 5 to 30 days is combined with a virtual activity. The virtual component can take place before, during or after the in-person period and is not further specified in its format. However, it needs to be an added-value to the curricula.
Where?
The physical mobility can take place at the hosting institution or any other place in the hosting country.
Funding
Your BIP mobility can be eligible as short-term mobility funding contributing to travel and daily costs, depending on the destination or the number of students applying for a grant. Your individual support depends on your sending and receiving institution and takes the form of a daily rate.
Duration of the physical activity | Amount (for any EU Member States and third countries associated to the Programme or third country not associated to the Programme) |
Up to the 14th day of activity | 79 EUR per day |
15th to the 30th day of activity | 56 EUR per day |
EUPeace BIP students can also participate in and benefit from the EUPeace buddy system to engage fully with local cultures during the physical part of their mobility.
